Nadal’s rival, Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, had decided to withdraw from the quarter-finals. Nadal, who is preparing for a 21st Grand Slam record, will face unranked Emil Ruusuvuori, who beat Alex Molcan 6-2 6-1 on Saturday. Maxime Cressy beat Jaume Munar 7-6, 6-4 and Grigor Dimitrov beat Botic Van De 6-7, 6-0, 7-5.
